Universal Cashless System

On the 27th day of January is a critical day. Taiwan lost the opportunity to dominate the future mainstream technological society, and also lost the right to control the Cashless System that producing annual transaction volume of USD 36 trillion. What is the meaning of USD 36 trillion? If the available amount is "one thousandth", this said 36 billion dollars can build remote villages, provide students with free nutritious lunches, improve the educational environment, and provide interest-free stipends— This will meet what Confucius said in “The Great Together (Li-Yun Datong)” about "Elderly men with no spouses or children, weak, widows, orphans and disabilities are all supported by kindness." Consequently, it's called "Social Responsibility Investment" (SRI), and the purpose is to achieve the mission goal of "Rich Taiwan".

In January 2001, the holiday of Chinese Lunar New Year, we went abroad to visit friends in Japan, and inspected the "Upgrading for the Vending Machines" at the same time. When I returned to Taiwan on the 27th day of January, the keyhole of my house was stuffed with an unknown object, which made me feel bad omen. When I rushed to the company, I saw the roll-up door being pried open. When I entered, inside was empty-- It turned out that "Burglar broke in to leave nothing" looked like this..

After reporting the criminal case, the police officers who came to investigate the theft site said, "This must be done by an insider. Just wait and see, whoever uses your invention first will be the thief!"

Our invention was a new business system -- different from previous business transactions, it is a brand new "Tech-Economic System" -- referred to as "TES", also known as "The Electronic Store System" (The eStore System), according to its content, we officially proposed at APEC 1998 to gain the bill of "Electronic Commerce", so that it's of the IPR (intellectual property right) came from APEC; the U.S. patent for invention is titled "Shopping System", and its outline is "0014: the present invention uses the contactless chip card to create a universal cashless system ."

When the pandemic of COVID-19 spread in 2020, the transaction of "cashless" alone was as high as 36 trillion US dollars in the world.

The management software of this system was called "Supply Chain Management Information System of Electronic Sales System", referred to as "TSCM 2000". It took us more than ten years and money to complete it. Some of them were included in the Book of "Compilation of the 1998-2000 State-owned Enterprises Assisting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to Promote Research and Development Program Results" which was published by the State-owned Enterprise Commission, MOEA (Taipower Chapter, 132).

Since we invented the e-commerce system in 1986, there was no precedent to follow, so we integrated the functions of ATM and vending machine to make a smart machine with "selling, memory, transmission and printing receipt", and then form an "electronic store" (eStore), in order to demonstrate the operation of this economic system to the world and achieve the goal that is widely used today.

Since it was used in the market in 2002, our invention has been applied all over the world like wildfire burning everywhere. Now, everyone should know who the thief is. In fact, they should be called "bandits" so as not to humiliate their evil-power. They launched an attack on January 27, 2001, not only targeting our company, but also targeting our laboratory in Taipei and our home in Taichung, showing their power of "ubiquitous".

The bandits were completely ignoring the legal system of the Republic of China and thoroughly be unscrupulous. First, they threaten you that "We know where you live!" Second, they were familiar with your routine. Concerning what they stole that had four main items:

1. TranSmart chip card and its reading device;

2. "Source Code"-- the original code;

3. "TSCM 2000" which required long-term development;

4. Written and graphic information on the development of the above things.

This year (2022), during the New Year's cleaning, I saw "TSCM 2000" again, which is the "Compilation of the Achievements of State-owned Enterprises Assisting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to Promote Research and Development from 1998 to 2000" (Taipower Chapter, 132), which content is published as follows:

“TSCM 2000 Supply Chain Software”

Major products: supply chain management information system of electronic sales system, self-owned inventory center management information system, vending machine group and induction chip card value-added device group of cluster control modules. Three main contents: "A. Product function or technical content, B. Application of product or technology, and C. Achievement." They are described as follows:

A. Product function or technical content:

1. The internal control of the control center management system, including the control of the self-owned inventory center device group vending machines, the main subsystems are: "(1) Basic data maintenance; (2) Sales management system; (3) Order management System; (4) Incoming goods management system; (5) Shipping/delivery management system; (6) Inventory inquiry system; (7) Inventory management system; (8) Stored value card management system; (9) Account management system; (10) System management. "

2. The main functions of the internal control system of the self-owned inventory center are: "(1) The control center transmits the purchase notice; (2) The receipt status of the purchase point is feed-back to the control center; (3) The control center transmits the shipment notice; (4) Delivery picking; (5) Shipping processing, (6) Sending results back to the control center; (7) Inventory inquiry operation; (8) Inventory counting operation.”

3. The main functions of the vending machine and the induction chip card value-added device cluster control module are: "The function of controlling and transmitting information to the vending machines and the value-added devices, and through the dedicated line or wireless communication technology, the electronic transaction and the The product information is sent back to the control center.”

B. Application of product or technology:

This product can send the electronic transaction and commodity information of the vending machine back to the control center through the electronic payment method, using plastic currency such as prepaid card, IC card or credit card, through dedicated line or radio frequency communication technology, and the control center manages through its own MIS (Management Information System) communicates the flow of money and information with the financial industry and suppliers, and controls the inventory of sales information of commodities, so as to grasp the sales information of the market.

This product is designed and planned for the system of vending machines, and the products or services that the vending machine can sell, including beverages, food, newspapers, daily necessities, groceries, employment information, computer software and other products and services , so it can be used for various applications according to different products or services.

C. Achievement:

1. Expected benefits: "(1) Construct and promote an 24-hr-run, low-cost, high-convenience unmanned sales system. (2) Develop key technologies for unmanned sales systems, which can establish a good foundation for our nation's future development of e-commerce. (3) The unmanned sales system can be combined with many industries such as electronic machinery, information, optics, food, plastics, franchise and logistics, and its industrial joint sales effect is great, which can promote the development of domestic industries. (4) This system can reduce the steps of commodity circulation and innovate product channels , reduce intermediate exploitation and circulation costs, and provide a better consumption environment for the people.”

2. The development and testing of system have been completed.

3. The management information system of the control center and its own inventory center have been completed, and be responsible for the control of vending machines and value-added devices.

Just read the above summary of "TSCM 2000 Supply Chain Software" to know what we have done-- the management software that everyone in today's civilized world must use for “scanning or shopping”, and the hardware part is installed in the reading devices for transaction and identification.

Even so, nowadays, under the influence of our invention, people's wisdom is wide-opened, and most YouTubers know that "Infringement is illegal", and the protection of intellectual property rights has become a megatrend. The Contribution of P.L. Kuo

Peter Li-Chang Kuo, is known as an industry evangelist. Since 1966, Kuo became an important supplier of AVNET Inc., and afterwards developed thousands of electronic components/ insulated plates/ super-fine lead wires/ yokes/ automations and manufacturing processing methods. In 1974, because he founded "Cheng-Kuang Precision Industrial Co., Ltd." in Yong-Kang, Tainan that "the Father of Taiwan’s Precision Industry" was called by Premier Minister Chiang Ching-kuo (1910~1988). And officially proposed their invention of new tech- economic system (TES) at APEC 1998; afterwards, many bills and policies were gained at APEC CEO Summit and international conferences—Including "ACT/ AI/ Best Practice/ Cashless/ CE/ MB/ E-Commerce/ ICT/ IPR/ IIA-TES/ SRI..." etc.
